| Cette étude, réalisée dans la partie Nord-Est du lac de Bizerte du premier Avril au 30 Juin 1999, porte sur l’étude de l’effet des deux paramètres, distance entre les touffes et poids initial des touffes, sur le rendement de culture par bouturage de Gracilaria verrucosa selon le mode des boudins de sable. Il en ressort que les conditions optimales de culture de cette espèce sont engendrées par un poids initial de 200 g, une distance entre les fragments de thalles de 30 cm et une récolte impérativement vers la fin du mois de Juin. Dans ces conditions, on enregistre un passage du poids de 200 g à 1087 g, un taux de croissance spécifique de 2,20 et une densité finale de 3,74 kg/m². |

| The objective of this work was to identify, by means of different statistical criteria the ideal nonlinear regression model to describe the growth curve of three lineages of caipira broiler for meat production. A total of 90 birds were used, being 30 birds from each of the following lineages: Pescoço Pelado, Carijó and Pesadão Vermelho. The individual body weight of broilers (1, 7, 14, 21,28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84 and 91 days of age) was collected weekly for determination of growth curves by means of Models von Bertalanffy, Gompertz, Logistic, Richards and Brody. The parameters of Brody model did not converge to the weight of strains. The model that better adjusted to the data was Logistic. |

| Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) has been detected at the bovine kappa-casein locus. The polymorphism has been analyzed for its effects in cattle production, mostly for milk traits and even for maternal effect on pre-weaning weights. | Morphological characteristics of children commonly imply the processes of growth and development. Information on children's growth in height and their body weight is often used as the indicator of the children's health and nutritional status. As the parameters are changeable both temporally and spatially, it is important to provide their continual assessment. | Compound indices are often used in the analysis of fish stomach contents to characterize diet. Five of these indices, combining two or three measures of prey importance: weight, abundance and frequency of occurrence, are mathematically compared in this work. Data from a feeding study of sparid fish show that different indices can produce different results. Four classifications of food, in terms of preferences, are applied to Sparidae, compared and discussed. A new method of classifying the prey of fish into groups is proposed. It characterizes the main items in the diet, whatever feeding index is chosen for the analysis. |

| This study was carried out in order to assess commercial front and rear cuts of dairy-origin cattle fed mesquite pod meal. Twenty-five non-castrated male bovines (Holstein-Zebu), distributed according to a completely randomized design, with five animals per treatment, were used. The feed contained about 121.2 and 544.98 g kg-1 of crude protein and total digestible nutrients, respectively, and was composed of tifton grass hay, cornmeal, soybean meal, mesquite pod meal and mineral salt. | Tobacco is one of the important agricultural and industrial products which plays a crucial role in economics and income of the producing countries and tobacco’s leaves are actually used commercially. In this study, the effects of two tobacco varieties K326 and 347 in three plant spacing of 30, 40, and 50 cm (with density of 33333, 25000 and 20000 plants/ha) on physical properties and weight of tobacco leaves are discussed. | Main influencing factors affecting the ecology benefit value of woodland are analyzed, mainly including the water conservation value, environment cleaning value, water and soil conservation value, and climate regulation value. Evaluation model of the ecology benefit value of woodland is put forward which can deal with the uncertain information. Method for determining index weights is discussed, as well as the processing method for uncertain information during the evaluation of ecology benefit value of woodland. Finally, the feasibility and convenience of the evaluation model of the woodland ecology benefit value are illustrated with examples. |
